Behind The Design
This boys' twin bedroom was designed to feel timeless, characterful and full of personality without relying on themes that children quickly outgrow. Rich navy upholstery forms the foundation of the room, while warm burnt orange accents bring energy and warmth, creating a palette that feels both playful and sophisticated.
Rather than filling the room with obvious children's décor, we've layered classic patterns, natural oak stained furniture, brass lighting and tactile fabrics to create a space that feels collected over time. The whimsical wallpaper adds a sense of adventure, while tailored Roman blinds, crisp bedding and considered styling ensure the room remains elegant enough to evolve as the children grow.
The result is a bedroom that feels cosy, practical and beautifully balanced, a space that's equally suited to everyday family life and weekend guests.

Designer Notes
One of our favourite tricks when designing children's rooms is to avoid relying on novelty themes. Instead, we begin with a timeless backdrop of quality furniture, layered textures and classic materials before introducing personality through colour, artwork and accessories.
Here, the deep navy beds provide a strong architectural anchor, while the burnt orange accents inject warmth and contrast without overwhelming the space. The patterned wallpaper introduces character, yet its monochrome palette ensures it feels sophisticated rather than overly playful.
By investing in classic pieces that can remain for years, it's easy to refresh the room as children grow, simply swap cushions, bedding or artwork to create an entirely new look without redesigning the whole space.
