Sage Green & Blush Pink Girls Twin Bedroom

A romantic shared bedroom designed to grow beautifully with them

Soft sage green, delicate blush pink and layers of classic pattern come together in this timeless girls twin bedroom. Elegant fabric canopies, vintage-inspired metal beds and full-height floral wallpaper create a room that feels magical without becoming overly themed.

Designed for sisters sharing a bedroom, the space combines symmetry, comfort and traditional detailing to create a calm and characterful room that can evolve naturally as they grow.

Behind The Design

This room was inspired by the charm of traditional country interiors, where pattern, colour and beautifully made textiles are layered to create spaces that feel warm, welcoming and collected over time.

The floral wallpaper establishes the room’s soft sage and blush palette, while matching canopies give each bed its own sense of occasion and privacy. Crisp white metal beds keep the overall look feeling fresh, allowing the patterned fabrics and gentle colours to become the main focus.

Positioning the window and painted bedside chest at the centre creates a strong sense of symmetry. This brings calm and balance to a room filled with decorative detail, resulting in a bedroom that feels romantic, elegant and thoughtfully considered.

The beauty of this room lies in its versatility. It feels equally suited to young boys, older children or a luxury family holiday home, making it an investment in timeless design rather than a passing trend.

Designer Notes

This room was designed to feel magical during childhood while remaining elegant enough to grow with its occupants.

Rather than using a conventional children’s theme, we have built the design around classic furniture, timeless florals and a gentle sage and blush palette. The matching canopies create a sense of occasion around each bed, while the white metal frames prevent the room from feeling too heavy or overly formal.

Repeating the same colours across the wallpaper, curtains, bedding and accessories creates a beautifully coordinated look. Pattern brings personality, but the symmetry and restrained palette keep the overall room feeling calm, balanced and sophisticated.

Our Favourite Details

The fabric canopies are the defining feature of this room.

They draw the eye upwards, soften the architecture and turn each bed into a cosy retreat. The blush fabric brings warmth to the sage green scheme, while the delicate trim adds the kind of tailored detail that makes the entire bedroom feel bespoke.

We also love how the canopies frame the central window. This creates a beautifully balanced composition and allows the soft green curtains to connect the two sides of the room.

Complete The Look

A styled vintage nursery scene on a light wood dresser against floral wallpaper, featuring a wicker basket with children's books and a plush bunny, a vase of pink flowers, framed photos, and a wicker baby carriage with a doll.

We would complete the room with a few thoughtful and personal finishing touches:

  • Monogrammed pillowcases or embroidered cushions for each child.
  • Framed family photographs in antique brass or painted wooden frames.
  • A small collection of favourite storybooks displayed on open shelving.
  • A woven basket for extra blankets, toys or treasured keepsakes.
  • A vintage doll’s pram, rocking horse or heirloom toy to add character.
  • A vase of fresh or dried flowers placed on the central bedside chest.

These personal details help transform a beautifully designed bedroom into a room that feels loved, lived in and unique to the children who share it.

Why this room works

This bedroom balances decorative detail with a strong sense of order.

The symmetrical layout creates calm, while the matching beds and canopies give each child an equal and clearly defined space. Placing the bedside chest beneath the central window anchors the design and connects both sides of the room.

The floral wallpaper introduces pattern and personality, while sage green and blush pink create a soft, timeless palette. Striped bedding brings contrast and prevents the scheme from becoming overly sweet, while white bed frames keep the room feeling light and fresh.

Most importantly, the design has a classic foundation. As the children grow, artwork, cushions and accessories can be updated without changing the main furniture, wallpaper or window treatments.

The result is a shared bedroom that feels charming, balanced and designed to be enjoyed for many years.
